Students Race for Education

Wheeling-Students from Corpus Christi School in Wheeling prepare to run to raise money for their school as part of the Race for Education held Oct. 21. In the event, students received pledge donations from all over the country for each lap run. Corpus Christi principal, Dick Taylor said the event was a huge success.

Taylor said students nearly tripled their goal of $7,500. In a deal with the students, Taylor agreed to shave his head if the students hit their goal. Taylor said the money will be used to continue different activities and educational efforts at the school. Students were treated to a special assembly and party Oct. 24 to celebrate the end of the fundraiser.
